About Our Business
-High Plains Woodwork is a small family operated wood shop on the Eastern Plains of
Colorado.
-Our mission is to provide a high quality product that will be displayed with pride and
represent the best of it's owner.
-High Plains Woodwork is owned and operated by 1stSgt Jim Sweet USMC (RET). A
proud
veteran of Operation Desert Sheild/Storm and Iraqi Freedom, Jim retired from the United
States Marine Corps with his wife Sonja after 20+ years of service. He practiced his
woodworking craft, passed down from his father, prior to his military service;
this continued during Jim's service where he created items such as shadow boxes,
hand carved plaques, wood chevrons, personalized chests etc for his
fellow service members. His Grandsons
Jimi & Jack help out from time to time.
-Our prices are reasonable due to very
limited overhead and the quality is
unmatched.
-You may see some similar items
out there but here every piece is
custom made and one of a kind.
